Commissioning Management
A successful project cannot be achieved without thought, planning and the expert monitoring, inspection and witnessing of the testing and commissioning management. One of the most important facets of handing over a successful project / building is the environmental condition.
The Mechanical and Electrical Services must be commissioned to recognised standards and demonstrated to be operating satisfactorily within design parameters as determined in the specification and on the 'as installed' drawings.
The process is indicated on the diagram below and flows through the various stages of a typical project from design through to handover, and it's here that by having a dedicated Commissioning Manager who is focusing solely on the project deliverable for a successful handover that the project benefits.
By continuously monitoring the programme the Commissioning Manager is able to prioritise installation processes and build changes, whilst maintain the focus of the end date at all times. Valco uses comprehensive method statement trackers, which together with Inspection & Test Plans provide continuous monitoring and commissioning management.
